To use this feature, click on the "Import References" link on the Collect tab in EndNote. Select Copy Formatted (CTRL+K) from the Edit menu. Select this style from the drop down box. Highlight the references you wish to export. The Output style is called BasicExporttoExcel 3. Download the Output style Export to Excel (Sample style showing basic format) 2. Look for a menu command in the database that is labeled "Export," "Download," or "Cite," and make sure you choose the file format that has EndNote in its name. Not every database supports direct exporting - to get references into your Endnote Library, you will need to save the results as a text file, and manually import them into your library. Go to EndNote Downloads and search for Excel. ![]() In order to import references when direct export or automatic capture is not possible, you must save your references to a file and import the file using an import filter that corresponds to the source database.
